NORTH KOREA: JOO MIN’S STORY
In North Korea, if you’re discovered as a Christian, you’ll be imprisoned, put in a forced labour camp, or killed.
When Joo Min escaped into China to find ways of supporting her family, she never thought she would find Jesus too.
“Growing up, I was told to stay away from the Bible and missionaries,” she explains.
While in China, Joo Min heard the gospel for the first time at an Open Doors safe house and accepted Jesus as her Saviour.
Shortly afterwards, she did something extraordinary: she took the gospel back to North Korea.
Today, she’s a leader in the underground church there.
“Pray for protection and courage, so I can be like salt and light in a land overshadowed by darkness,” she asks.
