An Iranian Christian has started a 10-month prison sentence for his faith.
Iranian authorities arrested 31-year-old Hamed Ashoori for “propaganda against the Islamic republic” and “Christian activities”.
During interrogations, officers offered Hamed money if he agreed to inform them of other Christians. He refused. They then forced him to attend “re-education” classes. But after four sessions, he stopped going.
After refusing to cooperate, Hamed was then charged and sent to prison for 10 months.
Despite the harsh punishment, in a video, Hamed said he remains hopeful.
“I thank God for considering me worthy of enduring this persecution because of Him.”
